Vintage menswear lives on
I strive to create examples of using today's trends to express personal style. The menswear androgyny look is in season for fall 2022. Here I pair a corduroy men's blazer with and oversized belt to style the jacket as a cropped trench coat. We like to try styling items in unlikely ways, I love to do something slightly unexpected. An outfit with different textures together in the same color family. matching the vintage coat with today's current denim trend. Midrise Flare jeans? I never thought I'd see a day without skinny jeans.
Here flare jeans are styled with a black cropped tee and white leather puma sneakers for a daytime look that feels fun and carefree. This fit emulates the minimalist 1990s style and can be accessorized for fall with different jackets and sweaters. Even though it's the beginning of fall, we don't have to put our cropped tops away yet.
Styled here with an oversized pink leopard open cardigan. Bright pink is having a pop of color moment. We are bound to see it appear in accessories, leather goods, and even as the main flavors of an outfit this fall. It showed up on several international runways, and in NYC for Fall 2022. Be as bold and you feel with it- its more important you feel comfortable, and if you want to command attention and drench yourself... do you girl. Because it is a color that demands attention. We saw it with yellow and shades of Ochre over the last 4-5 years. Now the color trends shift again.
I love the chunky oversized feel of this men's blazer. Here paired with a belt to accentuate the waist and use the coat to wrap up a bit more tightly. Preparing for less mild weather. Now styling it open with sleeve rolled up, unbuttoned is a totally different vibe. The item itself is "Winsor by Lee" all the pockets, original lining are intact and it is otherwise in stellar condition.
